Oh Laura
Lately I really like to listen to the music of the swedish band ‘Oh Laura‘.
The band members are Frida Öhrn (Vocals), Jocke Olovsson (Guitar), Jörgen Kjellgren (Guitar), Rikard Lidhamn (Bass) and Magnus Olsson (Drums) and that’s what Jörgen Kjellgren, founding member, guitarist and co-songwriter of Oh Laura says on their homepage about the band and their music:
“It’s all about Frida’s voice, really. It’s why we started and it’s why we keep going. And it’s most likely the reason why you’re here.”
Well, I agree, but I think it’s also about the lyrics.
You can listen to shortened versions of some of their songs on their homepage and some complete songs are available on their MySpace page.
And to start with you should watch and listen to (!) this movie of their song ‘Release me’, which was the first song I knew from them and which is still my favourite.
Happy Easter
It’s the time of chocolate eggs hidden in the garden, beautiful spring flowers and cute little chirping chicks like this one. We wish you all a very Happy Easter! And for those who are wondering, it seems Veselé Velikonoce means Happy Easter in Czech.

This is an awareness test. How many passes does the team in white make? Concentrate!
Doggnation
Jay is Games is having their fifth casual gameplay game design competition. The game “Doggnation” by is my favourite amongst the 21 entries. It is a puzzle game with 50 levels, in which you help a peaceful nation of ‘doggs’ upgrading their castle. For this you have to take care that the doggs carry the right amount of coloured blocks in the right order into their castle. Further instructions are available in the game. If you get stuck somewhere, scroll down for my walkthrough. Read more

Improv Everywhere is a group based in New York City. Their aim is to cause “scenes of chaos and joy in public places”. Over 70 missions involving thousands of undercover agents have already been executed since Charlie Todd founded the group in 2001.
During their latest mission 16 agents staged a spontaneous musical in the food court of a Los Angeles shopping mall. They used wireless microphones to amplify the vocal performances and mixed them together with the music through the mall’s PA system. They filmed the mission with hidden cameras, mostly behind two-way mirrors. Apart from their performers, no one in the food court was aware of what was happening.
Be sure to visit their website for detailed information and backround reports.
Seagull Management
Seagull management is a type of office behavior where a manager flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps on everything and then flies off again leaving a big mess behind. More specifically this means that he only comes into the workplace on occasion when a problem arises or to criticize employees.
