On Saturday August 29, 2009 is the party I’ve been waiting for for over half a year: Bass Planet. Who’s coming? Westbam, Hardy Hard and Lady Waks from St. Petersburg (Russia): the reason I’m looking forward to this party so much. The second dance floor is being taken care of by local DJs Phoenix & Martink.

The party is taking place in Edelfettwerk (Hamburg, Germany) on Saturday August 29th. Doors open at 10 p.m. and the party is open-ended. Entrance is 6 EUR before midnight and 10 EUR after midnight.

Since 1999 Alexandra Seriogina (Александра Серёгина), known as Lady Waks, has been promoting Breaks and organizing various parties in St. Petersburg as well as all over Russia. In 1999 one of the most popular radio stations in St.-Petersburg radio ‘Re-cord’ asked her to become a host of a their Hip Hop Sessions show, which she presented for over a year. In 2000 she started a series of parties called In Beat We Trust with the resident DJs Atomic HooliganUK, Jay CunningUK, QuestRUS, Compass VrubellRUS and herself. Since then IBWT received a number of nominations including The Best Series of 2004 from TimeOut magazine. In 2005 she founded the first breaks festival in Russia called Breaks Arena, which is now being recognized as the biggest yearly Breaks event in the country. She is also a resident DJ at one of Tunnel as well as a booking agent at Contrforce, the leader in organizing major music festival in Russia.
